Gender Action Plan Objectives:
- To defend gender equality
- To facilitate the role of female scientists in ÉCLAIRE
- Establishment of a project gender committee, by election of members.
- Establishment of a forum to discuss, highlight and possibly mitigate gender issues/problems.
- Facilitate recruitment of female researchers and students.
- Production of annual gender action reports.
A gender committee will be elected to further defend gender equality, promote the role of female researchers in the project at all levels, and to facilitate the work involvement of scientists with young families.
News and announcements
After a successful first edition in 2011, the European Commission has launched the second edition of the EU Prize for Women Innovators to reward three women who have developed outstanding innovations and brought them to market.
The contest is open until 15 October 2013, 5:00 pm (Brussels time) to all women who have founded or co-founded their own company and who have at some point in their career benefited from the EU's research framework programmes or the Competitiveness and Innovation framework programme.
The first prize is EUR 100,000, second prize EUR 50,000 and the third prize EUR 25,000.
With this Prize, the European Commission aims to raise awareness about the contribution, potential and importance of Women researchers to entrepreneurship and to encourage women to exploit the commercial and business opportunities offered by their research projects and become entrepreneurs.

23/10/12 Thank you to all who took part in our Gender Questionnaire sent out in September. Special 'Thank you' to Felicity Hayes who took the time to collect and analyse the data. We received 37 responses. Please see below attached the report on your feedback.
07/09/12 Please see below the gender questionnaire that collects information on the female-male employment ratio in the project and also your perception on gender issues in your work place. The questionnaire has been sent to all ECLAIRE contacts and we would appreciate if as many of you as possible could respond to it. Only then the analysis will be usefull and representative.
